All pulleys are heavy-duty crown-face pulleys, with minimum diameters determined by manufacturer recommendation and minimum bend radius allowances for the conveyor belt applied. Face widths are belt width +2”, except for belts 48” and above, which are belt width +3”.
All pulleys except tail and gravity take-up pulleys are drum pulleys equipped with vulcanized rubber lagging.
- Drive pulleys are generally crown-faced and equipped with 3/8” herringbone lagging as a standard.
- All other drum pulleys are equipped with ¼” smooth lagging, unless otherwise noted.
All shafting is C1045 cold-rolled steel, unless otherwise noted. Keyways are provided for pulley bushings and reducer bushing in the drive shaft only.
- Drive shaft may be turned down to accommodate the maximum bore of the shaft mount reducer.
- All non-drive shafts are non-keyed to optimize shaft strength. All pulley assemblies are mounted in bearings in pillow block housings, unless otherwise noted.
Pulley bearings are generally ball bearings, tapered roller bearings or spherical roller bearings mounted in pillow block housings
