- The project manager and/or Innovative’s field construction
supervisor will be present for start-up (assuming adequate notice of
start-up to all parties to accommodate scheduling of the proper personnel)
to verify proper operation of all systems. The following steps will
be taken for verification of proper operation.
- All mechanical components will be inspected for proper lubrication
prior to start-up.
- All motors will be bumped with no load to ensure proper direction
of rotation, as well as proper connection and labeling of controls.
- After all v-belts and/or couplings have been installed, the plant
will be inspected for proper installation of guards and operation
of safety devices.
- All conveyors and equipment will be run without material for
belt training and inspection for operational interference and tolerances.
- Calibration of control devices will be performed to ensure proper
readings from automation and control interfaces.
- The owner will be requested to begin loading material into the
plant for processing. All chutes, loading points, and discharge
points will be inspected for proper material containment, sufficient
flow area to minimize bridging and spillage, and sufficient utilization
of liners and rock shelves to minimize wear.
- Equipment operation and adjustment will be verified to ensure
efficient performance from all equipment.
- The job site will be toured with the owner’s designated
representative to ensure that any issues the owner might have are
discussed and addressed.
- A job site tour is scheduled with the owner’s representative
for approximately 30 days after commencement of operation to discuss
any additional issues that might arise once the plant is operational.
