Emergency pull-stop cables and switches are generally provided along conveyors at all points where personnel are forced to walk directly beside the conveyor, such as on a catwalk or along grade.
Grease lines are run from the non-access-side bearing for all non-drive pulley assemblies that are not accessible from grade or catwalk, unless otherwise specified.
All conveyors are equipped with drive guards, pulley nip guards, tail proximity guards, gravity take-up proximity guards (if applicable) and return idler guards as required.
Alternative conveyor components, such as belt hoods, speed sensors, metal detectors, magnets, belt scales, etc., are applied as required/specified.
